Iceland-part 2

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Although somewhat expected, internet is not very accessible on Iceland.
It doesn’t matter though since by the time we reach the hotel for the day, we are both dead tired.

The first day after Reykjavik we went onto Golden Circle route covering geysers, waterfalls etc. all the time suffering from strong wind which just wouldn’t stop.

The second day we drove off-road a bit trying to reach some remote place, but had to turn around at some point since I was afraid to cross the small river with our car. Besides that, we saw some nice waterfalls and climbed one too. Additionally, we suffered some more wind on the black sand beach at Vik and enjoyed photographing ice blocks floating on the river under the full moon.

Today was really bad since most of the day we droe through seemingly never-ending fog. Very frustrating.

For tomorrow we have to go to Myvatn lake but apart from that we still have to figure out where to go and what to see. One option is to reach the Arctic Circle but I’m afraid it might prove a bit too ambitious for just one day.

Now, off to download the photos 🙂
